My gym is reopening this weekend and I’ve booked myself in everyday for 2 weeks. Can’t wait to get back there and to get back to my yoga class.
I felt like I made some great progress in yoga class last night. I’m certainly stronger in my core after the time I’ve been putting in at the gym, but I’m finding my tight hamstrings are the hardest thing I have yet to overcome.
More downward dog.
Getting a bit of yoga practise in this evening while my lover is out running. I can definitely feel a small improvement in my reach, my legs aren’t as tight this week and I’m much more comfortable getting myself in to the correct position. I still have a long way to go, but I feel my confidence in the positions I’m working on is increasing. #yoga #mensyoga #ashtanga #ashtangayoga #stretching #fitness #health #training
I think I’ve got a very long way to go, it doesn’t feel comfortable to be in this position just yet, and I really find it difficult to know which part of my body needs to move, flex or stretch in order to hold the pose correctly. This is my first attempt at this pose. I was always really apprehensive to give yoga a go, but really feel like it will help me, and I have my queen to give me a helping hand. #yoga #stretching #fitness #health #pose
Practising a couple of yoga poses @charleighbest showed my muscles and posture when running. I definitely need to improve but I can feel a difference after just a week. #fitness #health #yoga #running #training
I've never, as such, been against yoga - But only very recently have I begun to see the benefits of the discipline. After what amounts to only an hour of total practise, I've very quickly changed my opinion and am now looking to make it a part of my everyday routine.
Charleigh has helped me immensely by giving me some starting poses to work on, and the desire to manage a headstand which, given I’m currently struggling with, is giving me the drive to keep practising.
This week has been a slow induction, pulling some muscles in my back and chest encouraged me to take it easy for a few days, but I’m really looking forward to improving and seeing more benefit from calming myself and pushing my body.
